Millers RF Dustin Silva was 2-for-2 Tuesday night against Swift Current.
Coming off of their biggest win of the season last Sunday against Saskatoon, the Moose Jaw Miller Express looked to build towards the post season with a trip to Swift Current Tuesday night.

The Millers played tough, but one mistake ended up being costly as the team lost 3-0.

After the teams put up zero's in the first, Swift Current put up a three spot in their half of the second with a three run home run off the bat of catcher Brent Trask.

Millers pitcher Arturo Maltos-Garcia took the loss, allowing three runs on four hits in five innings.  Coach Michael Hunt says Garcia was solid, but just made one mistake.

"There were two extra base hits both off of him, a double and then that home run.  He's a good hitter, if you leave a pitch up they'll make you pay for it in this league," said Hunt.

Even in the loss, Hunt feels as thought their is building blocks for the playoffs.

"We can pitch and play defence obviously alot better than we did at the beginning of the year, that's going to carry us pretty far in the playoffs if we continue to do so.   We need to make adjustments at the plate, if a pitcher is on, we have to find a way to make him work harder," added Hunt.

The Millers head to Melville Wednesday for a double header, which wraps up their 2010 WMBL Regular Season schedule.

Then it's back to Melville on the weekend for the first two games of the playoffs.

Michael Hunt talks about Tuesday's loss in Swift Current and how they're preparing for Wednesday's games in Melville.
