Weather-related problems around the world have forced wheat and barley markets higher. Evidence of that is in the July Pool Return Outlook from the Canadian Wheat Board.

Wheat values for 2010-11 are up between $6 and $14 per tonne. Malting barley values are up $10 to $11and feed barley values remain unchanged. So far, the CWB has priced approximately 11 per cent of the expected deliveries of wheat for the upcoming crop year.

As for the 2009-10 crop year, wheat values are up $1 per tonne for all grades and classes, malting barley is down $1 and feed barley is unchanged. The Canadian Wheat Board has priced around 96 per cent of 2009-10 wheat.
