The Natatorium is still without a heritage designation. The bylaw designating the building in Crescent Park as a heritage site was delayed because it didn't receive unanimous support.

Without a clear plan for the building Councillor Dawn Luhning voted against the motion, saying designation should wait until something is decided.

"I don't know that I'm prepared to designate the Natatorium a heritage property if down the road there becomes a plan where it ends up becoming de-designated."

This only delays the status from being applied.  The bylaw will be back before council for another vote in two weeks and that vote doesn't have to be unanimous.
