95 per cent of survey respondents would like to see a uranium facility near their community.

"Would your community be receptive to an added-value uranium facility in your area?"

Yes was the overwhelming response to the survey question asked by the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce.

While no plan has been announced, Moose Jaw Mayor Al Schwinghamer says a project could do wonders for our city. "It would raise the profile of the whole province, it would raise the profile of the community, it would bring high tech people to the province and the community, and create a community that would have a certain vibrance of excitement relative to what it could do for the future."

Schwinghamer says it's a shame that we have to export our uranium to Ontario to be processed when we could do it ourselves and reap the financial benefits.
