May 1st we will be paying more for safe water in Saskatchewan as SaskWater bumps its rates by several percentage points.

 

SaskWater rates are going up May 1st.

SaskWater says they need to ensure they meet customer needs with safe, reliable, quality water.

The increase affects those who do not have automatic rate adjustments. Rates will increase by 6 percent for drinking water and 4 percent for non-potable water customers.

Among the local communities on the list are Riverhurst, Tuxford, Marquis, Bethune, Disley and Elbow.
