2005 Audited Financial Statements show a $4 million dollar bulge in our piggy bank.

The City of Moose Jaw is in good financial shape according to the 2005 Audited Financial Statements.

The City hired GE Noren and Partners to conduct the audit and they found Moose Jaw to be in a surplus situation for last year.

City Finance Director Brian Acker runs the numbers for us. "The municipal position of the City of Moose Jaw totals $81,721,000 as of December 31st 2005 and that's an increase of $3,927,000. The municipal position represents the equity position of the city. So, basically our assets less our liabilities."

When compared to other cities, Moose Jaw is doing very well financially. While Regina shows 55 million dollars in debt Moose Jaw owes nothing at this point in time.
