The Moose Jaw Warriors go from one key home-and-home weekend series to another. The Warriors are facing off against the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday at the Moose Jaw Events Centre at 7 p.m. and then they are back at it on Saturday in Medicine Hat. The Warriors sit three points back of Medicine Hat for second place in the WHL's Eastern Conference with Moose Jaw having a game in hand.

The Winmar AAA Warriors wrapped up a tough schedule of four games in five nights last night in Swift Current. Moose Jaw got back in the win column with a 4-1 win over the Legionnaires. The AAA Warriors are back on home ice on Saturday to face the Pat Canadians at 7 p.m. before heading to Wilcox to face the Notre Dame Hounds on Sunday.

In high school senior girls basketball action last night, Vanier picked up a 71-49 win over Central.

Finally, in the NHL last night, four Canadian teams were in action. The Ottawa Senators defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4-1, the Edmonton Oilers won their 14th straight by a score of 4-1 over the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Calgary Flames dropped a 4-3 decision to the St. Louis Blues.
