Tonight's the night! It's Game 1 of the WHL Championship Final between the Moose Jaw Warriors and Portland Winterhawks.

Puck drop is 8 p.m. Saskatchewan time, and you can catch all the action on Country 100 with the Voice of the Warriors, James Gallo, starting with the pregame show at 7:40.

The Warriors and Winterhawks will face off for Game 2 in Portland tomorrow, before both teams come back to Moose Jaw for the next three games starting on Tuesday.

The Warriors added 11 players to their list in the WHL Prospects Draft yesterday. The club drafting two goalies, three defencemen, and five forwards with 6 of those players from Saskatchewan.

At Moose Jaw Elementary Badminton City Finals for doubles teams, Hunter Therrien and Tymofiy Goncharov from Sunningdale got gold for the boys, with Cole Latrace and Christopher Epp from Caronport Elementary getting silver, and Caleb Artavia and Hudson Belsher from Palliser getting bronze.

On the girls' side, gold went to Marina Myint and Mikhaella Delpilar from Sunningdale, silver to Amara Cameron and Sadie Kusch from Cornerstone, and bronze went to Violet Johnstone and Nixon Novak from Cornerstone.

In Stanley Cup Playoffs, the New York Rangers need one more win to advance, as they beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 in overtime. The Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars are now tied at a game apiece in the second round, with the Dallas Stars winning 5-3 last night.

The Toronto Blue Jays got a day off yesterday.  They'll host the Minnesota Twins tonight.
