A statement from the government caucus office says Moose Jaw Wakamow MLA Greg Lawrence was injured in the motorcycle accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Moose Jaw.
The caucus office says Lawrence is recovering in hospital after the accident and no other individuals were involved in the accident.
Lawrence is expected to be in the hospital for the next few weeks as he recovers from his injuries, according to the government caucus.
Emergency crews responded to the scene of a motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon around 4 p.m. on the Manitoba Expressway near the Trans-Canada Highway.
Police say it appears the motorcycle collided with a tree.
