It's been a quarter of a century that Moose Jaw residents have been able to support the Moose Jaw Health Foundation by simply listening to music.

Concerts in the Park returned Wednesday evening to kick off the summer fundraiser that sees a new musical act take the stage each Wednesday evening while raising money to support our local hospital and its staff.

In the past, Kelly McElree, Executive Director of the Health Foundation, has said this initiative has collected a large amount of funds that make a big difference.

"It's just a wonderful summertime activity where people can bring out their entire families; it's what I always call toe-tappin' good music. Over the years Concerts in the Park have raised over $105,000 for both the Union Hospital and now the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Hospital."

During a break in the performance every Wednesday evening a collection plate is passed around to help the Moose Jaw Health Foundation creep closer to their goal and progress in acquiring life-saving equipment.

All together this weekly family fun event has collected over $112,000 since the inaugural year thanks to donations from generous residents.

“This is a fantastic way for people in Moose Jaw to enjoy a warm summer evening - great music and entertainment for a good cause. We see so many of our donors and supporters in the audience each week. Concerts will take place - rain or shine - for everyone to enjoy. Come out and enjoy this fantastic event in our community,” McElree added.

Almost all of the performances start each night at 7 pm. Below is a list of the 2019 schedule for Concerts in the Park.
