They're throwing a lot of our money at a number of our problems, as they do in Ottawa.

The Liberal government tabling the new federal budget yesterday.

As you know, housing is a big issue across the country and among the measures they plan to implement is a plan to convert underused federal offices into homes. That makes sense, doesn't it?

There's also a plan to build homes on some Canada Post properties and taking a look at redeveloping properties and buildings on National Defence lands for military and civilian use.

The Liberals are calling this budget one for "generational fairness" for Canadians.

When asked if she believes older Canadians have a moral obligation to pay for younger people, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland said, "I certainly feel that Canadians of my generation and older Canadians have a desire to see younger Canadians succeed...we really want younger Canadians to do well."

While Freeland chose her words carefully when answering, I think it was easy for her to say when you consider she's 55 years old and raked in a salary of over $271,000 last year.

I'm just sayin'.
