The Saskatchewan Health Authority reported 33 new cases of COVID-19 in the province on Friday, during the total number of cases to 2,591.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (1), North West (3), North Central (5), North East (4), Saskatoon (4), Central East (3), Regina (9) and South East (4) zones.

Of the reported cases, 37 have been linked to a single nightclub in Saskatoon. Public health officials are investigating the source of transmission for all of the new cases.

Thirty-one more people have recovered bringing the active number of cases to 511.

Twenty people remain in hospital with 16 receiving inpatient care and four in intensive care.

To date, 242,500 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan. As of Oct. 21, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 165,237 people tested per million population. The national rate was 250,009 people tested per million population.

On Thursday, 2,297 COVID-19 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.
