The Moose Jaw Humane Society saw plenty of success with their 4 Paws 50/50 Raffle that ended on Friday.

“We were so impressed,” said Donna Fritzke, fundraising coordinator for the Moose Jaw Humane Society.

“The last two days, we were so busy – the phone was ringing, we had etransfers coming in, people were booking their tickets online – it went very well.”

She added that it was the first time their raffle tickets were sold online, with $21,870 in tickets sold.

“The winner received $10,935, so she was pretty excited to win the money.”

The Moose Jaw Humane Society’s next big fundraiser, their 4 Paws Lottery, will launch in May. “We will be attending trade shows, we’ll be at the farmer’s market, we’ll be at the Saskatoon berry festival,” said Fritzke.

If you’re interested in a spring-themed hoodie, crewneck, or t-shirt, the Moose Jaw Humane Society is selling those as well.

“It’s really exciting to be able to have that extra revenue, to be able to help pets. A lot of times things come up like emergencies where we need the extra money for the Emergency Medical Fund, and of course puppy and kitten season is upon us.”

“All that money that’s raised stays directly in our community, and it helps the pets that live in our communities.”

The Humane Society currently has 13 dogs and 25 cats up for adoption.
